01創新．實踐．至善《實踐大學 Newsletter》發刊詞Innovation, Implementation and PerfectionShih Chien University Newsletter – Foreword to the First Issue董事長 謝孟雄 / Chairman of the Board Shieh Mung-Shiung校長 丁斌首 / President Ting Pin-Shou 本校於 1958 年由謝東閔先生創立迄今，六十餘年來，學校總體發展方針不斷修正，與時俱進，密切與社會脈動契合。學校定位為教研並進之生活科學大學，以培育才德兼備，具人文關懷、生活創意、科學素養與國際視野之實踐人為教育目標，並致力落實創新、實踐、至善的辦學理念，期能達到華人世界最佳生活科學大學的發展願景。 為配合當前政府積極推動的「2030 雙語國家政策」，本校提出相對應之 EMI 雙語化學習計畫及優華語計畫，並以全校各學系至少一特色為基礎，結合商務智慧特色中心、設計與策略展望研究中心、社會實踐與生活創新研究中心之亮點計畫，將不斷發展創新多元且具內涵之辦學績效。 《實踐大學 Newsletter》以中英文雙語的設計呈現，介紹本校臺北、高雄兩校區的特色、獲獎與卓越表現，以及各項創新研發成果，使讀者深入瞭解本校校務發展與各院系最新動態。期許透過本刊，分享本校追求永續創新、力行實踐、止於至善的積極作為及具體成效，進而於高等教育領域發揮影響力。 Shih Chien University was founded by Mr. Shieh Tung-Min ( 謝東閔 ) in 1958. For the past six decades, the direction and strategies of our university has been adjusted constantly to keep up with the times. We value a balance between teaching and research. Our education philosophy is to nurture talent with skills and character, and to ignite students’ passion for humanities, creativity, science, and a global view in our education. Meanwhile, with “innovation, implementation and perfection” as our philosophy of education, Shih Chien University strives to work towards the goal of becoming one of the best universities of living sciences in the Greater China region. In line with the government’s Bilingual Taiwan 2030 policy, we have rolled out EMI bilingual learning and the Taiwan Huayu Best programs. Building on the foundation of the distinctive features of each department, we plan to launch the Business Intelligence Center, the Research Center of Design and Envisioning and the Center for Social Practice and Living Creation. Through these programs, we will continue to encourage creativity and diversity in our education. Published in both Mandarin and English, the Shih Chien University Newsletter will introduce features of our Taipei and Kaohsiung campuses, awards and outstanding performance, as well as other innovative research achievements. Readers will have a chance to learn more about our university affairs and the latest updates on our departments. We hope to share with you the efforts and achievements of our continuous commitment to innovation, implementation and perfection through this publication as we strive to contribute to Taiwan’s higher education.
